Hello.Hello.Hello
In today's post i will be sharing with you a couple of ways in which you can keep your nails looking and staying strong, healthy and beautiful. Majority of us nowadays don't really pay attention to our nails simply because were either too busy or spending too much time on our face, skin, body and hair care. If we just make a little more effort and spend a little more time on our nails am sure that we'll have beautiful strong nails in no time!!!.
Did you know that your nails could also indicate either good or bad health?. It is stated that your fingernails and toenails can indicate potential problems in other parts of your body as well as provide clues to your overall health, so be sure to always be aware of any changes in your nails. Healthy nails should typically sport a pink hue, but sometimes they may change in tone and texture, signifying a deficiency in certain vitamins, minerals and nutrients. Trust me reading your nails can reveal the state of your health, which actually can become pretty useful in the long run.
- Protect Your Nails & Keep Them Short:
If you do a lot of work with your hands, you may notice that your nails get damaged easily. It's best to avoid picking difficult things with your nails (soda can tops), and using your nails in replace of tools. For example, you shouldn't try to use your nails as a screwdriver. Keep gloves on when you're doing heavy house and yard work. The shorter your nails are, the stronger they tend to be. If you have really weak nails, cut them down to size and grow them out using techniques to grow strong nails.
- Diet Tips For Healthy Nails:
To begin your quest for healthy nails, first make a commitment to eating healthier foods, your diet should be well-rounded and contain at least 50 percent fruits and vegetables. This is to ensure that you are obtaining all the essential vitamins and minerals needed for maximum nail growth. You can still enjoy the foods you love but you should make a conscious effort to consume healthy fruits and vegetables, whole-grains, nuts, fish and eggs, among other nail-friendly foods that are high in protein and iron.
- A Lemon Juice Home Remedy For Stronger Nails:
Lemon Juice - Mix equal parts of egg white (one egg), olive oil, and lemon juice in a bowl. Soak your nails in this mixture for about 15 minutes every day. The vitamins and nutrients from the egg white and lemon juice will help strengthen your nails and the olive oil will help moisturize them. The acid in the lemon juice will strip away the shine from your nails but that will come back in no time and your nails will be much stronger. You'll start to see results in two weeks.
- Keep Your Nails Hydrated:
Rub a small amount of petroleum jelly into your cuticle and the skin surrounding your nails every night before you go to bed or whenever your nails feel dry. Keep a jar in your purse, desk or bedroom drawer, your car etc, anywhere you might need it. Not a fan of petroleum jelly? Substitute castor oil. It’s thick and contains vitamin E which is great for your cuticles. Or head to your kitchen cupboard and grab the olive oil because it also works to moisturize your nails.
-How To Maintain Healthy And Strong Nails:
- Fingernails Care: Do's & Don't:
Do:
1) Keep your fingernails dry and clean.
2) Revitalize fragile nails with a nail strengthening treatment.
3) Trim and file your fingernails regularly.
4) Use a hand moisturizer.
5) Wear rubber gloves whenever you do any housework.
Don't:
1) Ignore any unhealthy nail problems or symptoms.
2) Abuse your fingernails.
3) Expose your nails to household cleansers or harsh chemicals.
4) Bite your nails or pick at your cuticles.
